I’m really happy with this light/fan combo and it has been a fantastic upgrade for our kitchen. The vintage design looks even better in person, and it adds a lot of character without feeling too over the top. One thing I especially appreciate is that the light is bright enough to fully illuminate the room but doesn’t blind you when you happen to look up at it. The crystal cage softens the light nicely and gives it a warm, inviting look. Installation took a little more effort than I expected. The included instructions were a bit confusing in a few places, but if you’ve ever replaced a standard flush mount light, or follow an online video tutorial, you’ll have no problem figuring it out. It is somewhat heavy, so having a second person nearby can help, but one thoughtful feature is the built-in hook that lets the fixture hang from the ceiling while you connect the wiring. That made the hardest part of the installation much more manageable. The fan has been the biggest surprise. It’s incredibly quiet, even on the higher speed settings, and it moves enough air to keep our kitchen noticeably cooler during the summer without being distracting. It’s exactly what we were hoping for in a room where a traditional ceiling fan would have looked out of place. Overall, this fixture combines style and function really well. This is a beautiful ceiling fan. I'm very happy with it. I had professional help installing it. He reports it was challenging to install due to some complicated engineering choices made by the manufacturer, but made it work. My camera isn't capturing the true beauty of the stained glass when lit but the predominant color is violet. Because of the stained glass, the light is muted but since this is being used in a bedroom, that's what I wanted. This stained glass fan has to be one of my favorite purchases from Wayfair. It’s beautiful, timeless, and classy, it makes me feel like I’m living an old Florida dream in the early 1900s. It is the perfect fit for my Florida Room Guest Suite. I will share that the light it gives is minimal. The space I am using it in is a naturally bright room because of the wall of windows I have. For me it is perfect and sets the right vibe. I would suggest an additional lamp or two if you like a well lit room. Package was not damaged and everything inside was in good condition. I would suggest two people for mounting and read directions well for a successful installation of this fan. The lightbulbs in the top portion of the fan will be difficult to change when the time comes, this may be my only con in regard to this fan. Included with the fan is a remote for ease of use. You can also turn on two sets of lights with the pull strings attached to the fan, one lights up just the top portion and the other lights up the main light globe on the bottom portion. This review comes the day our new, gorgeous fan was installed. It is prettier than the pictures. The bronze finish and crystal are a perfect compliment to the furniture in our guest bedroom. Please note you should use LED bulbs, small base and 40 watts each. Once the decorative globe is put on the fan, that piece has to be removed if a bulb blows. It looks like plenty of light and the fan puts out a good bit of air. The room is 15’x17’. I hope these LEDs do last a long time. We will have to get the electrician out again if that happens.
