These photos are not from it being new but used!! Immediate water damage From first cleaning. This is real wood, but it does not have a good topcoat of sealant. I still would recommend buying just for the fact that it has lasted this long. I might go with one with a paint finish. I have had this table now for over 2 years. The perfect addition to our playroom! Assembly was easy enough and, fortunately, the top cleans really easily with a magic eraser after being scribbled on with crayons and markers. My only complaint is that the fabric bins that come with it are a *little* flimsy, so if they’re full of crayons and a kid is trying to handle them it kind of collapses.. Jessica. Nashville, TN.
