What a work of art I thought I was crazy for spending so much money on 1 single pot after opening it I have zero regrets.I did some research before buying and was scared I would get a Chinese copy but as you can see from the photo it has made in Brazil right on the bottom to me that’s a big win.When I took it out of the box I thought forsure it had something in it because it’s extremely heavy for it size and the fit and finish is top notch very pleased with my purchase hopefully this will last me a lifetime much better than replacing 15-20$ pot every few years after the toxic coatings come off in my food.. I had this exact Dutch oven as part of a set, but I got distracted one day and boiled the Dutch oven dry to the point that it super-heated to a glowing red state (NOT good, I know), and when I went to move it, it warped irretrievably and could not be fixed. Very well wrapped, almost too much, making it a bit of a pita to get them all out of the box to inspect. I have no idea what one will do with all of the cloth bags that came with the set. Only time will tell how durable these pans really are. Aesthetically they are really nice to look at. The glass lids are on the lighter side. I am concerned about how the gold trim will wear or tarnish overtime, even if hand washing, but more importantly from wear in a dishwasher. Love love I’m surprised how thick it is and a nice weight not too heavy and not to large. I have all clad pans and this is a nice addition to an everyday pot . I bought it mainly to make rice bc of the width it’s hard to find pot that’s aren’t narrow for rice .This is perfect for it I haven’t made anything else in it yet just rice but seems it’ll be my got too for many dishes .
