The table set “Ovale” was designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec. "The “Ovale” collection strives to be original, but it also wants to be rustic and traditional. We set out in pursuit of delicate expression. This composition speaks about everyday life, about breakfast, lunch, and about everyone getting together for dinner. There is a desire for simplicity."

The Ovale Table Fork was well made and matched a missing fork from another set. I am well pleased with the style and weight of the fork. It was well packaged and arrived on time.. Anne. Centreville, VA. Sat Oct 01 2016

The Couzon company was founded in 1934 by Mr. Jean Couzon. After having started producing stainless steel flatware and hollowware in 1946, the company quickly developed into one of France's undisputed market leaders. The trading brand "Jean Couzon Orfevre", adopted in 1971, was soon recognized on the market thanks to clever advertising and, obviously, fine product quality. In the late seventies and early eighties, the company worked hard to be at the leading edge of progress, not only technologically but in areas such as sales, advertising, and creation as well. The efforts paid off; in 1986 Couzon had over 700 employees and its products were sold with great success.

Sharp, yet with a touch of sensitivity and elegance. Linear, yet with an organic quality of plants. We intend to shift our familiar sensations with chopsticks onto cutlery.

Great spoon, good quality, nice finish. I chose the Alessi Mu design because of the number of complimentary products offered in the set. They aren't stocked, so there was some wait time. Plan ahead, these were worth the wait!. Christine. Short Hills, NJ. Sun Jun 22 2014

We received Carlo Mazzeri Salad Serving Bowl as a wedding present in 1976. We still use it every week and it looks brand new. We love the timeless style and it is the perfect size for us. Our niece was the first in her generation to get married, we purchased this bowl for her and told her about our receiving it as a wedding present 38 years ago. We also purchased the 'Dressed' Salad set to go with the bowl. We were not aware of the pattern on the back side of the two pieces and weren't sure that we liked it when we received them. However, we think they are a nice match to the bowl.. Gary. Ann Arbor, MI. Tue Sep 23 2014

The salad/dessert fork of the Nuovo Milano series has an elegant and balanced shape: the rounded handle fits the palm of the hand perfectly, the three prongs are impeccably designed. One of the external prongs, which is more elongated and sharpened, can be used to cut even the most consistent cakes.

Achille Castiglioni crystallized his design aspirations immediately after the Second World War, focusing mainly on city planning, architecture, and particularly design. Achille has received various acknowledgments such as the permanent exhibition of six works at the Museum of Modern Art of New York and the winning five editions of the Compasso d'Oro award. Continuing his spectacular design legacy he has reinvented many items for Alessi featuring modern flair and functionality. Castiglioni designed the ''Dry'' flatware for Alessi in 1982, and since then winning several design awards. It is a beautiful contemporary classic design with satin steel handles that provide a beautiful counterpoint to their contrasting polished steel functional ends. Cast from durable 18/10 stainless steel, these pieces will be sure to become a contemporary family classic.

The spoons are great. However there was a great deal of waste in packaging. 12 spoons took 8 boxes All 12 could have fit in one box. My rating is based on packaging.. Karen. Sacramento, CA. Tue Apr 11 2017
