This light works for the hallway I needed it in. Assembling the alabaster shades to the metal light was actually quite difficult because everything did not line up properly. Well designed small chandelier. Very well packaged with all alabaster pieces protected. Pleased with the overall look and quality, however, installation of the alabaster pieces took almost an hour. Very fiddly and challenging to maneuver so as not to scratch or break the soft stone. Threaded caps for only one side of the stone are provided which leaves the pieces dangling loosely and makes hanging the fixture quite precarious. The electric junction is straightforward and comes with extra safety cables, but the security of the fragile alabaster could be vastly improved by adding additional threaded caps for a solid installation.. This fixture can anchor a room. The brass is polished but plays well with brushed. The alabaster plates are visibly stunning. These are really gorgeous lights in person. I was impressed with the quality and the natural stone design. I should mention though that we ordered two and one of them had a lot more yellow in the shade than the other whiter one.
