This is a cute little scratching post, but I was expecting it to be a bit larger. It is sturdy enough that I don’t believe my cat will be able to knock it over while playing or sharpening her claws. One thing I’m not crazy about is the sisal being on the bottom of the post. It is quite thin and looks like the old school yarn they would give you in an eighth grade Home Ec class. As long as it stays attached and doesn’t fray too quickly I’m OK with it. I like the texture of the cactus, (if you will), and the fact that it’s rubbery and flexible. My cat has already owned it. She walked right up and put her scent all over it. The scratching post came quickly and was delivered at my home, not in its usual place and with a few dents in the box but overall handled professionally. My two kitties love their new space! We have two 9 months old kitties that we rescued when they were 3 12 weeks old. They are indoor cats but we wanted to give them a safe sanctuary when are not home. I put the structure together myself and it probably would have gone quicker if I had help but I took my time and the instructions were easy enough to follow. The wood is strong enough for indoor but I don’t think it would last long outside in the elements. I didn’t use the roofing material that came with it since I have it inside the house. I added mesh wiring instead. The enclosure is 3 sided and backs up to the wall which works perfectly fine in our case as it gives us access to open and close our windows and shutters.. Arb65. Ca-usa. Works great! My cat absolutely loves it and took to it in a day. We both appreciate that she doesn’t need my help any more getting out, as raising the window was a hassle. The ability to lock it so she can only come in makes it easy to set a time when we don’t want her to go back out while still letting her come in of her own volition. Also great that we’ll be getting fewer mosquitoes in the house. I wish there was more padding included since the knobs for extending the panels make it so that the bottom is not flush with my window. I really like this acrylic door because I need to keep a cat in a certain area of my home. The only thing that needs to be resolved by this company is the acrylic is so scratched and I thought it just needed to be cleaned but it has scratches that are horrible on both acrylic panels. Its very quiet and odor free for the most part. It does drop the waste on one side of the collection container so it gives a full notification sooner without the container really being full.
