One note for potential buyers: the front, top and sides of the "black" clock are actually wood-grained charcoal grey plastic. Only the back is black. I will keep it because the clock's size, design and functionality were my priorities. It is silent and has a night light to make time-checking in the dark easy. The clock's stand can be removed if you want to use it on the wall.
