Originally made to encase the light of a flickering flame, lanterns were first designed for function, not fashion. Today, they incorporate both. Take this lantern head for example: Crafted from metal, it features a cylindrical silhouette with molded detailing, putting a contemporary twist on traditional construction. Wavy glass shade diffuses light from an incandescent bulb up to 100W (not included), while a wet location rating makes it perfect for your outdoor ensemble.

I like the way it looks. Might be a challenge to change the light bulb as the top must be removed by screws on the underside of the top.. Ewa. VA. Sun Apr 08 2018

With rounded metal frames and cylindrical glass shades, ensuring compatibility with a variety of outdoor aesthetics. Finished in Textured Black or Antique Bronze and wet-rated for durability, the collection includes three sizes of wall sconces and a sleek flush mount, delivering a subtle glow that complements any exterior environment.

I love the lights and they look great! Pictures of old and new. Note: I painted the bulb collar to coordinate with my other exterior lights. Just a couple of small issues: a) the lights came with 3 screws to attach to a post but I need to attach to a pier mount base (Castellanos, which I purchased at the same time) so they don't work. I am in the process of trying to find a way to secure them, and b) there is about 1/4" gap between the glass and the base so water gets in. There are holes in the bottom of the base but it's a flat surface so I think water will stand - trying to find someway to seal it (other than using silicon).. Jana. Salt Lake City, UT. GORGEOUS! We had some that were 24" high and were just way too big for the pillars at the top of the exterior stairs, and the one at the bottom of the stairs. But these are the perfect size! They match our Spanish style home. And are absolutely gorgeous. We did purchase a new base for each of them to fit on. But we don't need them because the old bases for the former lights fit these new lights. Love them!. Lauren. Fallbrook, CA. Sun Jan 11 2026

we got the outdoor post lantern a few weeks ago and got it up next to the driveway close to the kitchen door, it is great in the evening to sit outside and not have to move around to get a light to come on, we also got a shimmering light to go inside of it, and it looks like one of those old timey post you see in the westerns or old movies where someone had to go around and light up all of the street lights, and the glass being frosted it is just stunning. we love it.... Distinctive forms with ancient roots are featured in this Seagraves 1-Light Lantern Head. Transparency, depth, and dimension are all on display to highlight the clear-seated glass and sweeping details within the frame.

Quality light, and beautiful too! Metal is not thin and wimpy, it is nice and solid. The design is great for a transitional style, looks fantastic on our 1970’s ranch, a very nice update. They are open on the bottom so that bugs don’t get stuck inside the light along with moisture won’t build up inside. The glass is all one piece, not four separate pieces of glass. Quality! I am using dusk to dawn light bulbs and they are working great in this style. I looked for a long time to purchase matching pedestal and wall house lights. Was looking for a great quality and reasonable price. They came packaged great for shipping. I ordered a total of 5 lights and not one was damaged in anyway. Really unique- we looked at hundreds of fixtures before we found these, and nothing came close to what we wanted. We live right on the beach, so corrosion is a huge problem with metal fixtures. Theres almost no metal on this one, and it was easy to install. Beautiful and high quality. Just wish they made a ceiling mount in this same style.. James. San Diego, CA. Fri Jan 03 2020
