Haven't had a power outage yet, for the acid test, but I'm pretty optimistic this generator will do the trick.
Winco 6000 Tri Fuel Generator

I purchased it a year ago. Just got through 9 straight days of no power due to hurricane Sandy. Worked perfectly. Ran on gasoline the first 4 days. Gasoline became impossible to find so I switched to natural gas. Ran 5 days on natural gas. I used the 30 amp 120/240 connection to a Reliance inlet/10 circuit box. I did some prep work ahead of time to have a 1/2" gas pipe available outside. Highly recommend this generator.

I have only had the generator a few weeks and run it 3 times but it starts well and runs well on LP and Gasoline. It also supplies high short term amperage for motor starting.
Nice Package: Simple and Flexible

Gets the job done, super simple to operate and easy to start. With the wheel set, it's a bit challenging to hook up the NG or LP due to tight space between the wheel and the gas intake connection. The intake should be angled to allow connection from top. It's on the noisy side for home use in an area without much property, but price combined with the Tri-Fuel option makes it worth it. Competing quiet sets are double price.
