My district purchased these desks for my high school class, and I've had them for over one full year. I have them in groups of 3 or 4 each day. Students love the surface - mine use dry erase markers on them daily and it wipes clean right away without leaving behind any residue. Maybe once a month I spray it with dry erase board cleaner and a quick wipe leaves it looking like new. It is roomy enough for a student text or laptop, but does not take up a lot of space. I also requested casters on the bottom, and it is now very easy to move. Most are without the wire box, but the ones that do have a wire box are roomy enough for a student to place a few books.. This step is not included in the assembly instructions and I didn’t realize the plug was there until I had assembled the first desk and saw that the lift didn’t work. I, at first, thought the lift was defective but realized the issue when assembling the second desk. I had to partially take apart the first one to cut the plug out. Exactly as described, easy to put together (my kids did it together). Very solid. Very heavy (20kg or 45lb), which makes it hard to move on our carpet. Comes with caster wheels and sliders in case you don't want the casters. The height range given (29"-42") is with casters; it's lower by about 2.5" if you don't install the casters.
