I love this desk! If someone had set out to make a desk just for me, they would have made this desk. But I would like to say.... they spelled Antarctica wrong. It is written on the desk in two places. It is spelled correctly in one place, and incorrectly in another. It is actually very distracting to me, I am kind of a spelling geek.
Easy to assemble desk
Linda from Atlanta, GA– Verified Buyer
I had already warned my boyfriend that I would need assistance with assembling something I ordered. I opened the package to take a peek before he got here. Looked pretty straight forward so I started the assembly. I was finished very quickly! I moved the desk to the designated area and moved my notebook over and I'm using it now to write this review. I love it! Also, after reading other reviews before ordering, I knew to be careful with the direction I placed the top before attaching it. I got it right the first time. Thanks for that tip!
Shipping is tough, but great desk
Jennifer from Orlando, FL– Verified Buyer
The fist one I received had a shattered top, sadly. However, the next one came perfectly. How they ship the glass top without it breaking amazes me. Very easy to put together, just make sure to consider how the map lays when attaching the glass top to the frame. Do you want the map facing you when you sit at the desk or facing away from you. I forgot to consider that and have the map facing away from me and the map is upside down every time I sit at the desk. Don't make my mistake!
Exactly as described!

If you love maps, this one is for you (except for the misspelling of Antarctica!). Perfect size for desktop flatscreen and great conversation piece. Assembly was easy. Just follow the directions. I had one hole that i had to widen with allen tool because the screw would not go in but no problem.
Even more beautiful IRL!

This desk is simple, elegant, and sturdy. I ordered it after looking at the pic and seeing the price (very affordable). It arrived quickly and in good condition. The "glass" top is actually see-through with the map of countries in black. I thought is was dark grey on black. I prefer clear with black.

I really like how this desk looks. The glass is thick compared to other glasses desks i have seen. the frame seems solid, except for the crossbars in the back. Not a major issue, but it is loose since it is only held together with a screw in the middle. If I had a spare nut to put on it, it would prob solve the issue. I just have to remember to buy one the next time Im at Lowes or home depot

I am very pleased with this desk. Quality is good and assembly was easy even for one person. Blends well with other furniture in the room. I like the heavy glass top and the under-painted world map. A recommended buy.
gift for my son

I got this under my bed until Christmas but opened it to make sure the glass wasn't broke. It looks so much nicer than the picture! I'm sure my son will love it.

I love the desk that I ordered and received from Wayfair. While there is ample room to work on it doesn't overtake the room like a wood desk would. I would highly recommend Wayfair and this desk to my friends and family.
The Map is black, but it looks great
Stephanie from Catonsville, MD– Verified Buyer
I thought the map was a dark grey, and I was initially disappointed. But it really grew on me! By the time I had put it together, and then undid it so that the map was facing the right way (:-), I really liked it! Still would have preferred the map itself to be lighter.
