I have a good sized King mattress but this protector is meant for a very large deep mattress - one much deeper than the one I have so I must tuck in a great deal of material around the edges. Product Review This mattress protector appears to be well made (haven't washed it yet), fits a deep mattress easily and is certainly more comfortable than some cheaper vinyl mattress pads, however the thin layer of terry on the top could be made thicker and softer and then it would rate 5 stars. [...] for me it was a no brainer and necessary! def has deep pockets if you have a thick thick mattress, and if not, the extra fabric is hidden away under the mattress and seems quite tight.
