We needed a sofa for the family room which is also our guest room so it needed to be a sleeper sofa. We looked at a lot of standard pullout sofas but they where not comfortable for sleeping. We looked at standard futons but we did not like how they looked as a sofa and most were uncomfortable. When we came across this sofa it looked perfect, more like a standard sofa but functions like a futon. We ordered it from Wayfair who gave us excellent communication, service and delivery on time. It came in a box and the carrier brought it right into the living room. I put it together myself, took less then 1 hour and it was vary simple to do. It looks great, sleeps almost like a bed mattress; it is very comfortable both as a sofa and a bed. To open it into a bed and back to a sofa is simple and easy. I have a 1 bedroom in Manhattan and bought this as the primary sofa in my den. I love the look of the sofa. It never gets sloppy looking. The construction is very good and well-finished. I expect this sofa to look good for at least ten years. Turning it into a sleeper sofa is incredibly easy. Just flip it up and voila! You'd never guess that a sofa so small could turn into a true Queen size sleeper bed. Some minor drawbacks is that it's very firm when you sit on it--more than I'd like. I wouldn't want to spend more than a night or two sleeping on the firm bed. For my guests, I bought an eggcrate foam pad to make their sleep over more comfortable--which seems to compensate for the firmness. Also, when I lie on the sofa and dig my elbows into the cushion when reading, it takes about a half hour for my elbow imprint to go away. Finally, the extra rectangular pillows that I bought in addition to the sofa were cheap quality and not worth the price. We recently moved into a smaller home and I decided we needed to buy so new furniture. I am an interior redesigner and home stager anas well as a nurse for thirty years. Just a bit about myself regarding what I expect whether working or buying a sofa. I bought the furniture on the internet because my health prevents me from doing so. This sofa looks exactly as the picture. The red pillows come with it and match the two red reclining chairs also purchased from Wayfair/Wayfair. The sofa is a "Click-Klac" full size bed with a excellent 10 inch mattress. The upholstry is of microfiber but does not attract lint. We had a recent guest spend the night on the sofa bed. She said she was very comfortable all night long. One more thing the sofa has a small compartment undeneath for a set of sheets a pillow and a blanket. Ok to make a very long story as short as possible, I cannot say enough about my purchase of the Convert A Couch. I ordered a sofa sleeper from a local furniture store, (paid a lot more for it than the convert a couch) they set up delivery right away. They could not get it around the corner down the hallway to the den, so I sent it back. I started thinking about what my options were, the only way was to get something that could be assembled in the room. so I did an internet search - hence the Convert A Couch. Unbelievable fast delivery, price was 13 of what I originally paid at my local furniture store and the quality is amazing. I am sitting on it right now and is completely comfortable. As a bed, way better than a sofa sleeper, as the mattress is thick and like a real mattress, not a thin thing like a sofa sleeper. I bought a pillow top pad for it and my guests rave about the comfort for sleeping. So if you are looking for something for an apartment with issues in getting things through doors, etc, there is hope. the assembly was easy, Handy Living has a website that talks you through the assembly if you are not into reading directions!
