Easy to install from Los Angeles, CA on 06/23/2015 – Verified Buyer
After reading many reviews about this, I figured that I could figure this stuff out. Well let's just say I definitely understand why some would have a more difficult time figuring this out. If you do not get it exactly aligned, the rod may slip down eventually. And if your surface is not smooth then the rod won't hold up. If your arms get numb after 5 minutes of trying to figure this out while holding up the rod and twisting and twisting, then ask someone else to help you. :) It didn't take me longer than 10 minutes to install but it was after realizing that I had to make sure my surface is clean and dry and that I have to get the rod aligned exactly or one end will tend to slip down with any added tension (i.e. hanging of the curtains). However, is it the most strong rod to hold up heavy stuff? Uh, no. Let's be real here. It uses "suctioning" (if that) method so it won't be as strong as if you nailed it to the wall. If you're looking to hang multiple towels or clothes or if your wall is super smooth and slippery for whatever reason, then you might hear a crash, ping, crack in the middle of the night. It's not a burglar. It's your rod that has fallen. I purchase this particular rod for my very teeny bathroom. I hung only a clear curtain because the see through curtain makes my bathroom appear bigger. :0 I bought the company's roller rings and they work well together. :) I will buy again.

Classier than the average shower curtain tension rod from Round Rock, TX on 06/03/2015 – Verified Buyer
Quick and easy to install, looks nice and so far has proven to stay in place MUCH better than any other adjustable tension rod I've used in the past. If one follows the instructions for installation, using the diagram as a guide, the rod must be twisted counter clockwise, not clockwise. However, one twist will let you know if you are shortening the rod, rather than lengthening it to "set" it in place. I did not find this to be an issue. Pros: Attractive, stays put & easy to install Cons: The installation instructions may be confusing, stating to twist clockwise to "set" the length. I had to twist counterclockwise.

Looks great ... now that it's up!! from Baltimore, MD on 04/20/2014 – Verified Buyer
This review is based 99% on the person who put the rod up for me ... someone who doesn't think reading directions is important. :) After several failed attempts, we took a 24-hr. break and then tried again. This time I watched what they were doing and saw that it was the opposite of what the directions said to do. Since there is no hardware involved, some would think that the installation should be intuitive but I'm here to tell you ... it is not. Read the directions ... it works great!! The reason I'm rating this a 4 and not a 5 is because there is a gap between the two pieces once the rod is firmly in place. I'm not positive that this is how it is supposed to be or if this is the result of too many twists of the wrong piece in the wrong direction. Even with the gap ... I love it and would highly recommend it. Looks way more expensive than it costs!!

It took me awhile but I finally figured it out. from Chicago, IL on 04/04/2014 – Verified Buyer
Product is good quality, looks great. I had a slow start trying to fit it on the wall. The second of the two tried my patience. But, in case you need to know, if you can't get the tension rod to work correctly, detach the 2 rod pieces. The plastic at the end of the smaller rod rotates. If it does not rotate fully the rod won't stick to the wall. So, turn the rod towards you as you hold the plastic insert with your other hand to take it to it's maximum capacity and back the opposite direction. You may have to repeat this a few times. Return that end into the larger rod and try again. Whew! And it looks great.

uper easy to install, and actually holds tight! from Philadelphia, PA on 06/01/2015 – Verified Buyer
Took seconds to put up, and amazingly, it holds. I read other reviews of tension rods that fell down after one little tug of the curtain... I've tugged and tugged on this one, and it's holding tight! Pros: Looks great! Cons: The only con is that the sticker is a little tough to get off.
