The Brick votive from Kosta Boda has a square shape inspired by something exquisitely simple: a brick. Its style, which is created through the division of color in the votive holder, gives each Brick a unique appearance. Design by Anna Ehrner.

I love how pretty the style is and the shade of blue is perfect with my other blue glass accents have in my living room. At night it’s just so pretty when I turn on tea light and the small ones on each side of it I have. With all the lights out this light on gives my table a pretty soft glow. I really love how pretty it looks as a centerpiece for my table.. Julie. Seattle, WA. Mon Aug 19 2024

In the Earth series, Bertil Vallien has created four different globes, each with its own characteristic houses and message. Picnic from Kosta Boda is a 1967 collection from the archives that has made a comeback. The mouth-blown, 48 cl glass has a substantial, hollow stem that can be filled all the way to the base. It’s what’s inside that counts – so let it stand out! Suitable for non-alcoholic drinks, as well as everything from beer and wine to sparkling rosé.

I love these glasses. Perfect for a margarita. However, they very fragile. One broke on first use simply by plopping an ice cube into the glass. The corner of the ice cube punctured a dime sized hole in the bowl. I tried to take a photo, but impossible to see. Very unsatisfactory for what I consider an expensive picnic glass. I expected something more sturdy. Who would think an ice cube would break a glass?. Vicki. OR. Thu Nov 30 2023

This bowl is somewhat reminiscent of a Jackson Pollock painting, one splash with the paintbrush and full of color. The color makes a vibrant impression while still keeping the clearly defined glass surface beautifully visible.

First introduced in 1974, Sunflower by Kosta Boda is a classic collection of votives designed by Göran Wärff. The 115mm votive is beautiful on its own but used in the set of three different heights they complete each other and creates a vivid reflection of light.

The Contrast collection from Kosta Boda is manufactured using a technique called centrifugation. The technique, invented in Sweden's Kingdom of crystal in the 1950s, creates veils of color inside the glass mass. In combination with the color powder and sticks added during the process, each piece becomes unique. The blue/blue bowl is just beautiful on its own – or why not filled with fruit? Architects and children tend to be fascinated by stairs. Bertil shares that love! For over four decades, he has created and explored glass sculptures in which stairs are the lifeblood, the bearing element of the glass. A cube, a little house, a staircase – from these three simple shapes (and a few colors), Bertil Vallien generates an anecdote that sets something in motion, not only a desire to dash up and down stairs…Fortress Stairs is part of Bertil Vallien’s anniversary collection, “Bertil Vallien: 60 Years with Kosta Boda” (1963–2023), and is handmade at Kosta Glassworks in Sweden with details in real 21-karat gold.
