Good for kids
Mich from Ohio– Verified Buyer
My autistic son loves to cook, and this enables him to participate more safely - he loves this thing, and I love anything that makes him happy. Only challenge with this cutter is it's a challenge to make the thinner fries [the smaller grid], I understand this is a common problem with all of these potato cutters. Definitely cuts better when you put narrow end of vegetable first [don't cut them in half & put flat surface against 'blade', harder to push through]. Takes a FIRM, quick push down to work most effectively. Attempted carrots/cucumbers also, same challenge - large grid blade works but small grid doesn't work quite as well. Maybe it will work better cut into smaller pieces, haven't experimented too much with it yet. But the large one works fine for our purposes, and it's nice to enjoy the family time together preparing such food.

Grand kids Love!

My grand kids where here from Tn. We had a B-Q and the kids wanted fries. I let them make their own with the Potato Cutter. I bought them one for Christmas. I use this a lot to make Sweet Potato fries. Very sturdy and good pricing.
Not As Advertised!
Donald Hill from Girard, OH– Verified Buyer
It came with a 1/2" blade and a 3/8" blade, no 1/4" blade which is why I ordered it in the first place. If they cannot ship a 1/4" blade I will get a refund and order it elsewhere.
Very well designed and easy to use and clean

very well built and the design is very functional and easy to set up. the cutter is easy to remove and clean and the large lever is very easy to push down to cut with.

i had a french fry cutter many years ago, and i have missed having it arounf. the grand kids love using it when their dad is grillg burgers, and mom doesn't mind cooking them so much when all the fries are alike. am glad i got this for them.

I like homemade french fries. I've kinda gotten used to french fry makers being disposable - the thin cutter blades just don't stand up against the potatoes for long. This is the first horizontal cutter I have owned, since pushing down always seemed to make more sense to me.

Make shoe string sweet potatoes

Out of the box and used in minutes. I haven't figured out how to change the blade yet, but I like the one that came attached. I love that it is so simple and easy to use. Probably not safe but my 5 year old grand daughter was able to "help" make french fries.
