Presto Kitchen Kettle- Electric Multi Cooker / Steamer

I have used to to saute onions and brown chicken breasts before poaching them in a slow cooker. It did a wonderul job at both. I also love the fact that I can just pop it in the dishwasher when I'm done cooking. I am very pleased with this product but have one caution. The outside of the pot can get very hot so allow room around this appliance when cooking in it and be aware that you shouldn't touch the outside of the pot while it is hot. Sounds like common sense, I know, but it never hurts to be a little more mindful.

[...] It is the third one I've owned. The first lasted several years. the second was an off brand and I gave it away. This one I like, and it is used for steaming, slow cooking, and deep fat frying. There are two small things that could be improved. First, The cord falls out of the temperature gage all too easily, and needs to be watched. Second, the basket does not fit snugly onto the pot. Putting on the handle can be tricky because the basket slides around the pot. However the size and performance allow for these things to be tolerated.
