We like the look of this table on our deck. The 54” added 6” to our previous seating capacity which we wanted without having to change the existing rug. The 4 rating is due to an obvious seam where the top halves meet; something I was wary of prior to buying. It took 45 minutes for my husband and me to put it together. It was not easy, so if you are not good with tools and many screws, washers, nuts and bolts, you may want to get a table from a big box store or super expensive table from a patio store.. Jean. It looks great! Sturdy and sleek. The directions were sketches and clear to understand. All pieces were well marked! It took us several hours to finish putting it together mostly because we don't often construct things. The first pieces were difficult because we had to be on our knees to screw it together, after that all was well. Small tools included. When you get to the part where you attach an inner ring to the outer legs, we used the large box it came in to hold it in place by placing it under the metal pieces- which balanced it and held it in place while you screw in place.. Couldn’t be happier. Purchased to replace an old outdoor wicker table that was disintegrating. This is a sturdy table that will probably last forever. The chairs from my old set are bulky yet all six fit around this table easily. Only negatives, and not worth subtracting stars for, are tedious assembly and the lack of any protective material on the bottom of the legs. Not a deal breaker for me because I have it sitting on a rug. Assembly instructions are straightforward, just tedious. I gave 4 stars mostly for my own fault. the table is pretty narrow. My own bad for not seeing just how narrow it is. Its just wide enough for 2 dinner plates to be across from each other. With 2 people sitting on the ends and 4 people around the table (2 on each side) there is barley enough room for plates and glasses, no extra room for serving platters.
