No cushions needed, as the resin wicker seat and back support you softly and conform to your body. We use them for our outdoor bar and will probably buy another set. Canada	5.0 6/17/2010 Great outdoor barstools I love the look of the rattan, also the best part is its beautiful for outside rain or shine, not supposed to fade in sun and its comfortable to sit on, do not need cushions and if its rains no need to hurry outside and grab cushions.
