It is nice, but tricky to assemble....
Alan from Camarillo, CA – Verified Buyer
Arrives in a big box, it's heavy. If you can have them bring it inside, do so. I just happened to come home for lunch and FedEx arrived while I was there and I had them put it in the garage and just unpacked it and brought the pieces inside from there. You do need to break the code as far as assembly goes, you get the typical cryptic black and white drawing, but it's not too awful to figure out. Understanding cats, I made a few changes made to the assembly, as the way the Mfgr had a couple pieces being assembled didn't make sense as far as how certain things would be used or accessed by the cats. It has seen some use and they're slowly warming up to it. And they like the changes I made. A word of caution: The screwsbolts MUST go straight into the sockets or they will start to crossthread. And I had to open up the holes on the Steps for the upper cubicle portion because they wouldn't line up otherwise. While the vines are a fine addition, if your cats are like mine, they're just going to get eaten, and unless you don't mind your cat pooping bits of green plastic, I recommend you just toss them. The shipping was blindingly fast, free and on time as promised. I think the boys will enjoy it for quite some time....

My first attraction to this tower, other than eye appeal, was the large stable base, too many others could easily tip over. I have 4 cats ranging from 8 to 18 lbs and they love it. They were trying to get on it before it was finished. My oldest cat is not the climber he used to be and the bottom house is perfect for him. The directions were not as tricky as I thought given some of the reviews but could use some improvement. Lay out your posts in order of length (use a measuring tape as they are metric) and pay attention to the pre-cut holes for the hammocks. The trick to those is to get the vertical posts all the way tight, loosen just enough to line up the hammock screw and turn the post back to position and they pop right in. The greenery is a very nice touch, I put them on last, and tightened the end of them right in the tops of the 2 tall front posts and the tall left bed and wrapped them down to the base. It was about 2 hours of assembly, but I know this will last for years! Highly recommend!
Best cat tree I have ever seen
Elva from Mabank, TX
This is by far the best cat tree I have ever seen. Our kitties could hardly wait for us to get it put together. It has many cubbies, perches, beds, scratch posts and hammocks to keep them entertained. We wanted a tree that would last for years and that would be big enough to keep our 4 cats busy. It seems well made with quality wood, sisal rope and carpet. The carpet seems to be well put onto the wood pieces. (I purchased a cat tree from a retail department store. Less than a year later the carpet was coming off. It was not well put together with cardboard tubes, etc.) This tree is made of wood and most pieces are covered on both sides. There is no wood visible. The colors are bright and go well with our decor. We ordered the brown and green tree. The green color is more of a soft moss color. Very nice with chocolate brown. It comes with a wide variety of sisal and carpet covered tubes, flat wood pieces covered in carpet of various sizes and a multitude of screws with two allen wrenches. There were a couple of things that we did not like. First, the instructions came as pictures on a page with arrows pointing to where the screws go. It took us close to 3 hours to put the thing together. As we had fun doing so, it would have been much easier if we did not have to study a photo of it on this site to 'see' how it was put together and figure out where the many pieces go. There were 3 or 4 times we had to take something off and exchange it for another piece because we had put it in the wrong place or because the particular piece had holes in it for the hammocks and did not go where we put them to begin with. Second, it would have been much nicer and easier to put together if the pieces had of been marked by number or letter. This could have been done using sticky tags. A list of pieces and how many of each would have been nice also. All in all this is an awesome cat tree and I would definitely recommend it to anyone with one or more fur-babies.
A beautiful, high quality cat tree
Pat from Houston, Tx
I spent a lot of time on line checking out cat trees. We have another cat tree (made by another company) that is about the same size as this one which is also very nice. Since I was happy with that one I was leary about getting this one because I didn't know anything about the company. We went ahead and ordered it. When it came I was very happy with the beautiful colors, just like in the picture. I put the "houses" together myself the evening we received it. The next morning I assembled it all by around noon. I will say there were no written directions that came with it...only a small piece of paper saying "Please start from the bottom and work your way up." It also came with a diagram (no words) of what to do. It had letters for the bolts and posts, but none of them were marked. It also had numbers for the posts on the diagram, but none of them were marked, either. I am so glad I cut out the picture of the cat tree from the box it came in and I used that for reference for the different colors etc. There are 9 different sizzle posts sizes and since none were marked, I laid them down in a row in the order of their sizes. Anyway, I finally got it together and if I can do it (I'm 60) anyone should be able to. It's lovely and I am extremely happy with it.
nice cat post

The post ordered was the green/brown version and arrived on time and in good shape, although the box was open on one end and the base of the post was exposed. The post is heavy and fairly sturdy even for a large (18lb) cat. Some of the perches are a bit small, and I would have preferred carpet over faux-fur, but the cats love just about everything on this post. Instructions need improvement; even for the mechanically inclined it still took a couple of hours to assemble w/ only the visual to go by for the assembly. The foliage is an interesting touch and there is no way to securely attach it, so it was left off. The cats certainly don't mind at all and especially appreciate more than one place to rest. Some prefer the heights, while a couple really like the bottom house (hanging out atop and w/in the interior). The beds are on the small side; even the 9 lb cat won't use the lower bed as it's too small. The pros- Sturdy, well built, multiple levels to suit the needs of different personalities and needs, and pleasing color (green/brown). The cons- instructions need improvement and the beds and mid-level perches (near the hammocks) could be larger.
Cats think it's the cat's pajamas

My cats absolutely love this tree. There's rarely a moment that there's not a cat on it. I woke up in the middle of the night the first night it was up and noticed the 2 who pin my feet at night were missing. I found them on the tree. The only con is the instructions could be a bit better. After assembling my aunt's with a friend it was easier to assemble mine. Make sure the poles you use on the bottom do not have the holes for the hammocks. To put in the hammocks in, insert one end in a pole that is in place with the hole toward the center. Keep the other pole turned a bit then turn it into place with the screw on the other end of the hammock inserted. I hope that makes sense. But do the hammocks as you go or you have to disassemble to place them.
Great item for the price!

Love the way it looks and it's sturdy. I have 4 cats and (being cats) they are picky, so as of now only 1 really spends a lot of time on it, but give it time! It's big enough that it feels like a decorative piece of furniture and the leaves add a little bit of outdoor to the indoor. The only reason it gets 4 stars is that the hammock pieces were difficult to install (someone in the factory did not think it through) and I could only install one hammock. None of the cats really like hammocks anyway, so no biggie. This piece will be in my home for years to come. Thanks Wayfair for something affordable for me and my babies! Pros: Great value, colors and fastest shipping in the West! Cons: The assembly instructions are a mess, but if you print a color copy of the tree, it's not so bad. The hammocks are super-hard to install and I gave up after putting one in. Anyone need extra parts?

my cats love this!! The instructions are lacking but the pictures are enough to figure it out. But it is extremely well made much to our surprise as the cat trees you see in the stores sometimes look like they will fall over if the cat walks on it. We moved the round perch on the right to the very top of the high house because it fits in the corner better. And now it's slightly taller and both cats can be in the high perches at the same time. Our one cat is bigger and likes to sprawl out to sleep so will only sleep on the platforms. Neither use the hammocks except to play a little - I think it's too unstable and slightly small for sleeping or even sitting comfortably. They love the fake leaves and note that they do come apart easily and are made of plastic. But you don't have to put them on. All in all very happy with it!

This kitty mansion is very sturdy and most importantly the cats love it! They run up and down the thing, lay on the different seats and hide in the houses. It took 2 hours for us to put the thing together. The instruction included one piece of paper with one diagram. There are no written instructions, so you have to plan ahead and think out how to put it together beforehand. The only tricky part was getting the pieces that hold the hammocks in. We didn't put the leaves on the tree because the cats chewed them up before we even got the tree together. Overrall, this is the sturdiest cat tree we've come across though and the kitties are getting a lot of use from it.
Best Cat Tree for the Money
Trudie from Pickerington, OH – Verified Buyer
The other reviews are correct when they say the directions for assembly are poor. Strongly suggest printing out a picture of the tree before you assemble because neither the box o the instructions have one. Had problems with the rolls in between the posts until we figured out they just snap in holes and they seem to have added another shelf for stability which the picture does not show. All that aside this is the best tree we have ever gotten. It has a wide base and the poles are centered on the upper beds which also helps keep it stable. Our cat loves it and has even used the upper middle poles for scratching which he has never done before. Well worth the headache of assembly.
