I love the easel. One side is chalkboard and one is dry erase board. There is a tray in between the two boards, and a nice one at the bottom of each to hold chalk or dry erase materials. I am using dry erase crayons and washable markers instead of dry erase markers as our 15 month old likes to draw on the wall and dry erase markers aren't washable off other surfaces. I ordered two easels, one for our granddaughters' home and one for our home. I like the Melissa and David one better. It is a perfect size for our 15 month old and 4 year old. The letters and numbers are not being used right now as the children are both young, but it won't be long. The letters and numbers are small, maybe could be a little bigger."..."  Read more

This beautifully crafted, solid wood easel (which must be assembled upon arrival) adjusts as the child grows taller. It is made to last & is sure to be passed down to future siblings & cousins. The additional shelf at the bottom is a handy, clever space-saver & the entire design of this easel is child-centered. I examined 15 easels in person at various high-end and "big box" toy stores before I selected this model through Wayfair. This easel not only offered the best quality but also the best value for the money. Having 1) taught kindergarten & first grade in the public school system for 17 years AND 2) raised four sons (one of whom is a self-sufficient artist!) The easel was a big hit with the three granddaughters! Its sturdy and attractive. The adjustable board heights are nice since they allow the 6 -yo and the 2-yo to both work at the easel at the same time. But anyone buying it should be aware that the double chalkboard and whiteboard - because they were included with the triple easel description - might be assumed to fit. They dont. We drilled holes in the whiteboard to force it onto the easel. The chalkboard will just be attached to the wall. Buy the primary versions instead. The easel doesnt come with even a small amount of paper, either, so make sure to buy some before any kids see it."..."  Read more
