The stylish shade topping the steel tube of our Metra floor lamp looks like it's striving to reach the sky. Steel bars accompany and support the tube on its vertical journey. The lamp base is heavier than anticipated. It is straight as an arrow, extremely well-crafted and it looks great in our den. The shade looks better than the website photo. A bonus is that the lamp will accommodate up to a 150 W bulb and, best of all, the switch is a rheostat to dim or brighten the illumination for taste, need or mood.
