This is an elegant, firm sofa that was easy to assemble solo, and this is not something I usually do. I did have a friend help me flip it up onto its legs after assembly. The box arrived really beat up, and I had misgivings as I was unwrapping, but the contents were protected. I have now had this sofa for over a year; I slept on it for three months while fostered cats and kittens took over my bedroom. It would work to use it as a daily bed, but it is VERY firm. The blue velvet fabric has held up nicely despite 2 cats (who fortunately, do not scratch it). I have received many compliments on it; it is the focal point of the sitting area. Great! Took longer to put together by myself took around 3.5 hours. It wouldve gone faster if I didnt tighten bolts the first round. The cushions are vacuum-compressed for packaging. Before installation, please firmly pat the cushions to help the silk cotton quickly expand and fill the entire cushion. It usually takes 2-3 days for cushions to fully plump up to optimal state.

It is just the size I needed. I was surprised at how easily and quickly I put it together by myself. Only needed help setting it upright and moving it to the rug. The color is perfect with my rug and I like that my feet easily rest on the floor. I do use pillows when I am going to sit for a while as the foam is a little thin.. Loretta. Minden, LA.
