These pieces are authentic reproductions of late 19th century Victorian gas lights (notice the gas cocks on the arms). Due to the mass production techniques that the industrial revolution created ornamentation in many and varied forms areevident on Victorian styles. These pieces are no exception with reeded components, cast gas locks, and finely detailed clover scrolls. The glass is acid-etched with a flower pattern over a grave finish. The polished brass is buffed with a jeweler's rouge to add luster and depth; while the bronzed gold leaf is leafed and oxidized to add bronze accents and texture.
