Filing Cabinets

I've been wanting a filing cabinet for some time now, but we kept putting off buying one because we thought we didn't have room in our tiny apartment. But when my poor desktop filing box got so full I could no longer get files in and out without the jaws of life I decided to get a real filing cabinet as an early birthday present for myself. I was very disappointed after looking on [...] and at some cheap options from some local big box stores, but luckily I stumbled across this great option[...] we were very pleased when the box came - the product description says "Assembly Required" so we were expecting it to ship flat. Boy were we surprised when the FedEx guy showed up with a huge box looking like it contained a fully assembled filing cabinet! We opened the box and the only assembly that was required (if you could even call it that) was for us to put the handles on the drawers!!!The only thing to be cautious of is that the cabinet does seem to be prone to tipping forward when the drawers are pulled out, but in my experience that's a fairly common problem with all filing cabinets - I solved it by dropping a 5-lb weight in the back of the bottom drawer and it no longer tips.Overall we are very very satisfied with our purchase and I would purchase this same item again in a heartbeat!"..."  Read more

I purchased this file cabinet for office use. We've had the file cabinet for several days and the drawers open and close easily and it seems to be well made. The only negative is that after we unpacked the file cabinet, it did have a ding in the side of it but it doesn't effect the opening and closing of the drawers so we can live with the ding. Let's support American made products folks!! This file cabinet had the features I was looking for at a price I felt was affordable. The assembly consisted of screwing in the 4 brackets/wheels, to the bottom of the cabinet. The directions are pretty easy to understand. It is well made and surves the purpose for home filing and organization, plus the option to lock it if you want to. The drawers glide on the track better than any I have previously owned.
