Fagor Canning Sets

When ask by Wayfair to review one of their products, I already knew I would choose the Fagor Pressure Canning Set. I've never used one before and was a little apprehensive, but excited to give it a try. Being provided with the product in no way influenced my review. I read the manual, but the included DVD gave me all the confidence I needed to get started. Reading and then being able to see a demonstration made the difference. I've made dried beans, chicken soup and also the Peanut and Chicken Stew recipe from the DVD. All were fast, easy and delicious! This method of cooking really retains the flavors of my ingredients, unlike a slow cooker that cooks it out. I love the little pop up thingy that tells me when the pressure is built up and its time to start timing my recipe; it takes out all the guess work. I also love being able to cook faster; saves me time in the kitchen and energy costs. I've wanted to do some canning, but all the canners I saw were too big for my emptynest household. This one does four quarts or four pints at a time and that's perfect for a small family. I would recommend this for a wedding gift. The only thing I didn't like was that it comes with a rack, but I wish it was the kind with the handles for easy lifting in and out. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with this product and highly recommend it to others who are interested in pressure cooking.
