It is firm which is necessary for a newborn and fit snugly into the crib with no gaps. I was able to get a nice organic fitted mattress pad and chenille fitted sheets from here too and they fit perfectly. Was this helpful? Yes / No

The three inch height of the mattress is exactly what is called for, but the springs add the needed level of firmness to make it perfect for infants. Looking forward to bringing how our baby. Made our own fitted sheets for cheep! and love the way it turned out! This worked realy well for us, and I am excited to get to use it with our new mini rocking crib. Fits between all our doorways in the house! Service Review Was worried that it would arive having been shiped folded, but was shiped flat and I was realy glad to see that it was in perfect condition when it got to us.
