We had a conversion rail for our daughters bed and it worked well for her transition to a toddler bed. This Pali conversion kit was relatively easy to put together, but harder than it should have been. The other conversion kit for my daughters crib (a Joy brand bed, I think) had the legs stay as part of the crib and you just put the rail on the side of the existing structure. It was very easy to set up. With this kit, the front legs came off when you took the side rail off and you had to install the new legs that came with the conversion kit and put the rail between the new legs instead of just on the top. Overall not too hard, but it could have been designed to make it a little easier. If you have this crib, I would definitely recommend the conversion kit, as I think it makes the transition from crib to bed very easy for your child, since they do not need to actually get a new bed."..."  Read more

The crib rails for our convertable crib worked wonderfully...just wish that there was some sort instructions for this assembly. I needed to know which hardware to use from the crib to be able to connect it to the rails. I had to go onto this site to look at some of the similar beds and how they looked when converted. Very pleased with the crib rail. Our crib was Hazelnut finish of which has been discontinued so we ordered the rail in the Amber finish. It is very close in color. Our 2 yr old would not sleep in the crib but once we installed the rail, she started to sleep in the crib again. She just needed know that she is able to get in and out on her own.
