This is the perfect islandtable if your set up doesn’t really have the space for a table. The storage and side cabinetry holds a good amount of stuff. I will say, i was impatient to wait for help. Love this kitchen island. Solid construction, love the color matches with my accent wall where others just had white or black options for color. The cabinet doors and drawers fit well together. I could not be more pleased with this purchase. I recently moved into a rental that has an awkward layout for cooking and this solves the problem beautifully. The leaf is just perfect, allowing more space for food prep but with the option to stow it away to keep the walkway open. From the time I opened the box, including organizing and verifying all the parts, it took 3.5 hours to assemble, plus another 20-30 min for final adjustments, removing stickers, and disposing all the packaging. One of the hardware packets was mislabeled. The instructions were mostly clear with a couple confusing spots. At the end one of the drawers wouldn't slide in all the way so I had to adjust the sliders to a different hole than instructed. I didn't need (or like) the bulky spice rack so I filled the holes with nail hole filler. As other reviewers have commented, it is definitely a tip hazard with the leaf open when the cabinets are empty, but once I put heavier stuff inside the whole thing stabilized. I agree the back side (leaf side) of the unit would look nicer with a more finished appearance but it doesn't bother me since it faces away from the entrance. Luckily the delivery person delivered the box right to my door where I could drag it inside - I'm a petite woman and it weighs 100 lbs, so I wouldn't have been able to get it inside otherwise. - First impression once assembled, looks just like the model online. However, the wood top had 2 damaged areas 1 a scratchgouge, another that had a stain that someone tried to color in and varnish over. We had put so much work that when we noticed it, we were an hour in and didnt want to have to wait for a new one. - Assembly with two people, it took about 2 12 hours to assemble. It was a pretty simple process, but they were just a lot of pieces. There were two times that the instructions were unclear in terms of the direction certain pieces had to go in, and in other areas it seemed like the steps could have been done in a better way. But overall it was simple but tedious. Instructions would earn a 94 out of 100. Finished we are very happy with the entries result. It goes really well with our other furniture and the sage green color is really pretty. I like the extra space with the flip top wood on top, but part of me wishes that the extra piece was on the other side. Also, since we use this for a space between our kitchen and dining room, the paper towel holder seems a little out of place. If it was just for the kitchen it would make sense. But thats a personal preference. The drawers are nice and deep, and the shelves are movable so that you can adjust them to various heights if your needs change. Overall we are very happy and glad that we saved the assembly fee. The reasons for not giving a five star two gouges on the wood top, and a few areas of the instructions had to be figured out. This is a nice piece and looks like the picture. However, be warned, this is a very complicated DIY assembly. I have lots of experience in that area and generally enjoy assembly and this took me 4-5 hours to assemble. Beautiful and Functional Kitchen Island I’m very happy with the overall look and functionality of this kitchen island. It feels sturdy, provides helpful storage, and the drop leaf gives us extra counter space when needed without taking up too much room. The size works well in our kitchen, and it has made the space feel more organized and complete. There were a few small dents and scratches on the tabletop, which was disappointing for a brand-new item.
