Camerons Gourmet Stainless Steel Mini-Smoker

It was an EXCELLENT little smoker. I made smoked tomato butter for sea scallops, and they were a fabulous appetizer. However, the smoker itself was extremely difficult to clean. I'm glad I kept the box, because even after spending a good 45 minutes with soap, water, and eventually a Mr. Clean sponge, I could not put it in a cabinet or on a shelf without its leaving grease and remnants of the smoking process.

I don't eat meat, so I'm using this to get a nice smoky flavor in other foods. Most successful so far has been tofu marinated in soy sauce and maple syrup; fresh asparagus tossed with olive oil, salt and pepper (smoke garlic and make smoked garlic mayo to dip this in for a double treat!); chickpeas tossed in olive oil, paprika and cumin; already-roasted rutabaga (I wanted to make sure it was fully-cooked.) Next on my list? Okra, brussels sprouts, and potatoes! The only down side is that yes...it is very small. Spend a little more and get the bigger one, esp. if you are cooking for more than one. You'll probably want more than one or two small servings, esp. when you taste how good the results are. :-)

This product is great! I wish I had bought it sooner. It is a great idea especially if you can't grill where you live. My husband and I are vegetarians and grilled tofu is the best. We love it thank you.

I had never tried any product similar to this before and I was skeptical. this did not disappoint me at all...I was very pleasantly surprised at the quickness of it and the amazing flavor that it gave! I would recommend this to anyone who love that great smoked meat flavor! Great item!!!
