VERY, VERY DIFFICULT TO ASSEMBLE You would think this is a simple table with few parts and only 8 bolts. Maybe the other reviewers received better lot runs of the table, but mine was HORRIBLE. The grooves for the slats are so tight that you literally have to HAMMER the inside slats in ... ruining the pieces in the meantime. And then, when you put on the end and front pieces, they fall out because the other pieces are so loose and need to be held. Great if you're an octopus, poor if you're a human being. And then, after screwing with that for 2 hours, the table top holes do not align, i.e. 1 bolt did not align with the imbedded nut. In fact, it's not even square. Thus, total failure after all that work and an unusable table. Oh, and the distressed finish? It is a euphamism for poor workmanship. What I saw is not "distressed", but cheap lazy [...] labor who throw the parts out whether they're nice or not. But it is a beautiful looking table ... well, the parts, at least. |

Plantation Cherry Magazine Table by Butl I use as side table to my sofa in the living room with accent lamp on top. I was impressed with quality and that's why I purchased right after the tea server by Butler. So far, I reccomend both. |
