I purchased this unit for a customer as a remodel unit. Heavy guage acrylic is much nicer than the surrounds you can buy at your local home store. Also was well packaged for shipping. We removed a tub and wall surround to install this walk-in shower for easy access due to a disabilty. There was considerable work to be done in preperation for the installation due to an unlevel floor and rotten wall stud from a previous leak. Once all of the prep work was complete the installation was quite easy. We set the shower base in a thin bed of mortar to give it a good solid base. The next day moisture resistant wall board was installed on the studs and the shower walls were installed. Corners first, then back wall panel, then end panels were trimmed to the proper depth and glued on. Be sure to use adhesive specifically made for tub/shower surrounds, and not just your basic liquid nails as it can bleed through the acrylic as it ages. Seal all the seams and joints with silicon and your ready to enjoy this great unit."..." Read more
