Just received this record player stand today and was able to get it put together (with hubby's help!) in about an hour. It's made from engineered wood, so not a high class piece of wood furniture, but absolutely seems sturdy enough for its intended use. I ordered the white stand with a black top, and it really is a lovely unit. I will agree with a couple of other users that the plug-ins (two plug-ins & a USB) are a great idea, but they are located on the top of the unit and are not accessible if your record player or audio equipment is deeper than 11 inches. It might have been better for the plug-in unit to be situated on the side of the stand. This is a nice, sturdy record player stand, and is able to hold my very large, old record player. There's a large amount of space for storage, so if you have a lot of records, this is a good choice. One downside I found, however, was that the instructions were a little vague and unclear at times, and I ended up putting on some parts backwards or upside down because it wasn't too clear which way things were supposed to go. Okay, first the obvious. The cabinet color is not what is shown on the Wayfair site. I would have liked the warmer red tones that were in the listing. The cabinet was easy to put together. I had it together by myself in about 1 1/2 hours. Other reviews had me worried about the door design not coming together until I remembered that you can learn anything on YouTube. The hinges are European cup hinges that have adjustment screws to move the doors into proper alignment. A very functional record stand/storage unit. It included good directions and was easy to assemble. A drill driver or electric screwdriver is a must. With these it took just over 4 hours to assemble the unit. I did put wood glue in the grooves that the back pieces slip into, to give it more stability. For a portable rolling cart it’s really pretty nice. Assembly took about 45 minutes and went pretty smooth. The finish isn’t bad and the hardware casters work great.
