First of all, this is a beach cruiser, not a road bike. That was one of the first things I had to get in my head. It's ideal for short trips over smooth surfaces. In that regard, it's great. The old fashioned appearance is a plus. It performs really well for what it's designed for. It's a comfortable ride, too. A word of advice---take your time assembling this bike. Beautifull bike but I had to change the Tekro mechanical front brake caliper to a hydraulic brake caliper. Now I love the front brakes. I'd highly recommend doing the same if you buy this bike. On my bike something is up with the trueness of either the fork or hub as there is excessive float between rotor and caliper. For the price of this (made in China) bike it's not suprizing the tolerances are a bit off. I do like the bike and plan to change the 3 speed shifter to a 8 or 11 speed to make it more useable for longer rides."..."  Read more

This bike is so comfortable. I am 50 years old and my mountain bike was getting very uncomfortable for me. I moved to a small town, now I can go grocery shopping and put stuff in basket, instead of hanging it from handle bar or strapping it on back and holding on. The seat is also very comfy and cushioned and handle bar is very comfy to grip, no more bending over and have a sore back. You will not win a speed race with it, but it is not inteded for that. I have great stability and the basket is big enough for 1 week of groceries and a small dog. You will get stopped and people will aks you where you got it etc. It took about 1 hour to put together and adjust handle batr, etc"..."  Read more

We're loving riding this bike. It was received in perfect condition..just had to make minor adjustments to the shifter and grease the front wheel bearings. We're looking forward to "many miles" together on this bike. We put a 5 inch high rise handlebar for the back rider...we're in our 60s and can't bend so well any more. We would recommend this bike to couples to enhance teamwork and a fun time together. The extra low gear sure helps out on those hills...on our other bikes, we'd have to get off and push them up.
