The Golden Age collection is made with a blend of worsted wools from New Zealand and Argentina, creating a soft, silky texture that feels heavenly beneath one's feet. The diverse palette of rich jewel-tone colors brings luster and elegance to these intricate designs.

This area rug delivers a traditional look that anchors your living room or entryway. It features an all-over botanical pattern with winding vines and leaves, adding a classic feel to your space. It's machine-woven from polypropylene, which helps it stand up to the occasional spill and splash. The construction makes it a practical foundation for indoor spaces that see daily use. We also love how the stain-resistant material maintains its appearance even in busy households. We recommend pairing this piece with a rug pad to prevent slipping.

Works well for our space, but they rolled it with wrinkles, still flattening after months of having.. Shelley. Camas, WA. Sat Aug 29 2026

We have several Samad rugs in our home and the golden age collection is simply the best! This was packaged well and shipped promptly. We would consider ordering another rug from Perigold in the future, however, their Bryne rug pads leave something to be desired. We ordered one with this rug and and it wasn't the correct dimensions, missing 2" x 6" on the width and length, respectively---despite clearly being sold as the desired 2' x 12'. Never mind that it was a wonky cut clearly tapering down the length side. It's clear Bryne runners seem to be made of leftover materials. We would not order another of those from Perigold and we're still awaiting to see how their customer service will handle the issue.. Anonymous. Sun Sep 03 2023

This is a great rug. The color is more muted than the online picture, and I actually like it even more because of that. The rug had no funny smell. The wool is quality, it is not shedding.. Mary. Fall River, MA. Sun Jun 07 2026

This collection is all-organic, with exquisitely fine jute pile woven onto a cotton warp and weft, and an earthy natural color palette. The high-quality jute chosen for our rugs is biodegradable and recyclable. , with an innate sheen because it is harvested only from Cannabis Sativa, a quickly renewable resource that excels in length, durability, anti-mildew and antimicrobial properties. This was the second time we purchased this rug, and I have to say it is absolutely beautiful! The rich colors look great in many color schemes, and we loved the sage green woven with the burgundy. Unfortunately, when the rug arrived, the packaging had a large tear and the rug was covered in dark where the package had been torn away. We didn't feel comfortable keeping the rug, so we contacted Wayfair Customer Service -- they were WONDERFUL! Wayfair issued us a refund, sent us a return shipping label, and had FedEx come to collect the rug from our front porch the next day. YOU CAN SHOP WITH COMPLETE CONFIDENCE AT WAYFAIR!!. Michele. This Collection, with its rich colors and floral motifs, evokes classic European rugs of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The collection is hand-tufted of 100% wool, hand-carved, and washed to achieve a beautiful sheen.

We set aside the thought of buying a rug until recently, since we were spending all our time at home, that’s welhen I found this rug... it was love at first sight, so we ordered it and crossed our fingers that it would look as good in our home as it did online. Well it did it’s rich elegant scrolls of ferns is very elegant and as the description said “European Circa 1900” it fit perfect with our Spanish- German European inspired dining room.. Kurt. It's amazing hand knotted weaving technique along with the rich quality of wool used and fine finishing will be admired by all for sure. Even your feet would be relaxed due to its soft and cozy wool stuff.

I thought this rug was going to be a little more of a russet red and and it is more a true burgundy. The thickness is probably average for a wool rug and it sheds, a lot. I believe that is common also. Overall, I'm happy with the rug.. Nicole. Jonesboro, AR. Fri Feb 11 2022

The Caines Authentic Hand-Knotted Handmade Gold, Burgundy & Brown Modern Abstract Avant-Garde Sketch Wool Area Rug makes a striking artistic statement with its bold, avant-garde flair. The dynamic pattern features large, overlapping color blocks forming circles and rectangles, overlaid with thin, scribbled lines that resemble a loose sketch or wireframe. The rich, warm palette combines gold/mustard, burgundy, and brown, creating a playful yet sophisticated focal point. Crafted for a super soft texture, each knot is hand-knotted by real artisan hands over a dedicated 4-month process. The versatile 0.5" pile height offers a plush, high-quality foundation that adds modern energy to living rooms, offices, or studios.

Very nice rug. Exactly as described and packaged well. Colors are relatively true to images, which are brightly lit. Obviously in a darker room the colors don't "pop" as much. Quality seems very good. Would recommend a 1/8" pad for it rather than a 1/4".. Richard. Longmeadow. Fri Aug 14 2026
