This terrific all-weather patio dining table showed up with some slight damage due to improper handling. However, I quickly notified Wayfair of the problem and a return was scheduled. After the item was received by Wayfair they scheduled the return and it arrived today. This table is made from a heavy duty matte plastic material and it is molded to look as if it has a natural woodgrain. I have a small balcony in a rental beachfront condo and this table and chair set works well. I have had a set like this I ordered 7 years ago and it has been on my balcony facing the beach everyday since then except for when we had to bring it in for hurricanes. This is a fabulous table but there were some issues that could have been avoided. Firstly, the table is extremely heavy, weighing in at 80 lbs. Therefore, it's extremely sturdy. The white did look a little yellowish in places, as if it had been exposed to extreme sunlight somewhere. It's not noticeable so it's not a dealbreaker. The table was easy to put together BUT, buyer beware. The instructions were easy to follow. When I tried to put on the two base pieces, I couldn't get the screw holes to line up at all on one side. It didn't matter what I did, but they didn't line up. I called Wayfair and the sent me two replacement base pieces. Same thing happened. I called them again and I received an email saying I could get a refund or a replacement if I shipped the table back in the original packaging ("or any 108" box will do..."). I emailed them and said that I didn't have the packaging. I put it out for the recycling that morning and refused to purchase a 108" box. They emailed me back, saying they would send me a replacement table. I received the table and the same thing happened. I donated the replacement and decided I would buy some HDPE glue and live with the original table. I then received the table from the person I donated the table to. They mentioned that they had managed to screw the table together by screwing everything really loosely and pulling on the base pieces to get everything to line up. I tried it and it worked. Nowhere in the instructions did it suggest that you should do this. It would have been helpful if customer service had this information so they could have suggested it and avoided the aggravation. I really like this table! It fits in so nicely with some chairs I already had. *THE CHAIRS DO NOT COME WITH THE TABLE* Assembly is easy and straightforward. Nothing complicated about it. I like the sturdy metal frame of the table. The table top is a faux wood with a nice grain that’s pretty black and gray in color. It says the table is year round and I believe that. I only question how the top will hold up if it’s exposed to the elements year round. I have it placed under a sunshade so I believe that will protect it from warping.
