Overall pretty simple to put together…. Took me about 1.5 hours, but I put the towel bar and wheels on after the legs since my kitchen is tight on space and wasn’t sure they would work. Smaller hands make assembly a bit easier since some of the connections are in not easily assessable areas. The long and medium bolts are the same length! The Allyn wrench provided is too long, so used a smaller one I had that worked better for me. Beautiful wood construction but difficult for one person to add heavy top piece to base and sides. All the contorting to build this island takes a very agile person. ASIDE: After 7 years of storing heavy pottery dishes and serving pieces behind the island doors, and drawer filled with flatware for 12.... This is a fabulously solid purchase. I absolutely love it! I added contact paper to the top to match my kitchen. Thanks to so many others that posted that tip in their reviews!
