BUY IT! I was so concerned about buying an appliance which would be delivered by who knows who. I didn't want to spend the $2,000+ the local stores were charging for similar items. I took the chance, so happy I did. I was beyond impressed with the packaging of the beverage fridge. It was easy to unpack even with all the layers of cardboard, wood, metal and Styrofoam. The instructions were clear and repeated so you couldn't miss them (let sit flat for at least 24 hours before plugging in) and it was easy to put the door on. This wine fridge works great! I like that there are the light color choices. The wood shelves are nice. I prefer them over wire or metal racks. My one issue that I knew before I ordered is that it doesnt have full extension shelves. That makes it hard to see the bottles on the back half of the shelf. Got this GE fridge to replace an old GE Profile that finally died. Loved that fridge! This is level down, due to not wanting to spend so much money. It was delivered today, so not sure about the actual function. Few things though that your engineers or designers should think about. My husband is very handy and decided to hookup the water line himself. Problem is the piece that you have to insert the copper water line to is very short, and initially leaked. Also, on door with water/ice, the shelf maybe should have a well built there to catch dripping water or any excess ice. Just 2 initial thoughts so far. I'm hoping to love this one as much as I did my old one... we'll have to see. Quick update: yes, you need to add a well or lip to ice/water fixture. I went to try out the ice 2 days later, it grinned for at least a minute before actually dispensing ice, then it shot out like a bat.
