We got this rug a couple weeks ago and I absolutely love it. I was a little apprehensive about A. Durability since we have dogs and this is in a high traffic room and B. How soft it would be on bare feet. First of all the rug is absolutely beautiful, classic and modern. It had a very earthy smell when I took it out of the packaging that lasted a few days but wasn't unpleasant. All the edges laid flat so no issues there. I haven't noticed any shedding or dirt near the rug. Regarding my concern about durability...there are a couple knots that have come up but I've tucked them back in easily. I did buy plastic sliders for my coffee table so that the legs wouldn't snag anything when we move the table around. I would suggest doing the same if you like to move your table around like we do. I have found a couple stray sticks sticking out - I just pulled them out. I guess thats to be expected from a natural rug. Regarding softness, the first thing my husband said when he walked barefoot on the rug was, "It's so soft!". I walk barefoot on this rug everyday and do not think it is rough or unpleasant. Wow! Photos do not do this rug justice! This is the softest, most fluffy rug I’ve ever owned. The colors are just as they appear online. The base color is a light ivory accented by dark gray diamonds, with hints of light gray and beige. The pile is high and thick, so much so that my robot vacuum struggles with it. My regular vacuum works without issue though. We do have a rug pad underneath for extra cushion, though the rug is soft and thick enough you could get away without one. The rug did shed some when we first opened it, but after a thorough vacuuming, it hasn’t shed at all since. I love this rug and highly recommend it to anyone looking to brighten up a space. Katie.
