The rug came quickly and was perfect for the space! Looks just like the picture. It is "thin" (as reviewed by another buyer) in that it doesn't have a backing, but is a quality one piece woven rug. With a rug pad, it works to soften our hardwood floors. The rug goes very well in the space and we couldn't be more happy with our purchase. If you're 'on the fence' about buying this rug- go for it. Fabulous rug! I have two of them in open concept living/dining/kitchen. Very thin, lightweight cotton. The colors are as pictured, they're light. I ordered a sample first to make sure the colors would match. They were perfect for coordinating my coastal home family room which is open to the sunroom. The green is a sage sea glass color with navy, light blue and off white. I would not use the cotton rug in a high traffic area. We have only had the rug two weeks and don’t wear shoes in the house. There is some fraying cotton fibers where our feet rest when sitting on the couch. I know wool rugs can shed but not sure if this is common for cotton. Hopefully, the carpet will hold up.. Sue. Great quality runner, easy to install (did it myself). Used heavy duty cutting shears to cut where needed, the only downside is when you cut it does start to fray. Where edge is going to be hidden you are able to fold over and hide edge however, it can become a bit bulky so keep that in mind. On cut edges that you cannot hide I chose an edging roll of fabric from craft store and glued it on both sides to make a completed edge. It’s both good and bad that it has a stretch to it, so it has some give when installing but over time I’m sure on the stairs it will stretch and sag. We ordered several Dash & Albert rugs for our weekend home. We love how easy they are move around. I would definitely recommend a grippy rug pad underneath, because they definitely move around and get displaced easily, but other than that, love this rug! The colors are beautiful and classic. Love these runners! They are very soft, pliable and pretty. I DIY'd my staircase, and it turned out pretty well. I put really soft carpet padding on the stair treads with carpet tape, and used white trim nails to secure the runners, because staples showed up too much.
