I recently received the The Twillery Co.® camping carpet. While I intend to primarily use it for beach outings and picnics, I can see that it would work well for many needs. It would be nice as a rug under outdoor patio furniture and I'm sure my son will be borrowing it as a mat for camping trips. I chose the smaller size which is about 9 feet by 12 feet as I believe this will be plenty big for my needs. This size weighs about 7 pounds so it will be easy to carry to the beach. The mat is made of tightly woven polypropylene which should be waterproof and very easy to keep clean. I owned a similar mat for many years, and it lasted for a long time. I loaned it to someone and didn't get it back so that's why I needed to pop for a new one. I'm much happier with this mat as it comes with a nice carrying case. I unfolded the mat and put it in the case and was happy to see that it wasn't too tight of a fit. The color and design are very attractive, and the tight weave will keep the sand away. There are sturdy loops on the corners which are another nice touch to tie down on a windy day. I am attaching some pictures but unfortunately, I had to take them inside as it is a rainy day, but I think they are good enough to show the features of the mat. WOW. This rug is absolutely beautiful! I went with the white option (a tough decision against the tan which also looked beautiful!) and am thrilled. There are cream-white-tan tones that make this rug very versatile as far as color palate. The rug will take a little “training” so it lays flat but seems very good quality and durable and arrived very nicely packaged and clean. I built a chair outside during the nice weather, but the rug will be inside with the chair for a cozy reading nook right next to a large window. I think this rug would also be precious in a nursery!. This rug is a jute rug with a circular pattern which I like because it is different from other jute rugs I have seen. The color is light and neutral so it will look good with many different styles. The rug also has no smell which is great. I did have areas on the edges of the rug that wouldn’t lay flat but I put books on those parts for a day and now it is not an issue.The one issue I’am having is because it is so light weight and thin that the rug gets bunched up when my dogs run across it when they run thru the room. This is definitely a heavy duty outdoor rug. The weather in Chicago has not been nice enough for me to try this outside, but just by feel alone you can tell that it is going to withstand stains and will be easy to wash off with a hose. The material is not rug like at all, but almost feels like soft plastic. It is definitely meant for outdoors and heavy traffic. It also has eyelets in all the corners so you can stake it down if you need to. That’s going to be awesome in the summer in case we go camping and need to use it in a grassy area.
