This pot planter is high fired between 990 (terracotta) and 1000 (glazed) degrees centigrade to ensure frost resistance and durability. Due to the processes used in the manufacturing of their hand-made and hand-glazed containers, all variations with respect to firing, color, size, and crackling are natural occurrences in the manufacturing process. The glazes on their containers consist of natural, not chemical, components and therefore the final color of the product will vary. This process creates the unique beauty of each piece.

First of all, the color in the photo and the actual color of the planter are way off. It's not really terracotta, more like a beige/grey, and it doesn't have the drainage hole like the one in the photo, it's just a regular drainage hole in the bottom of the pot. I liked the photo, first for the color and second the unique drainage hole on the outside of the planter. It's not a deal breaker however it was a little disappointing on the color, it's nowhere near what it looks like in the photo. It's more rustic looking in the photo than it actually is.. Anonymous.
