662022 update! We were finally able to install our tub due to reno taking some unexpected turns. After peeling off all if the packaging I found a crack. I do not understand how such a flaw could go unnoticed during production and or QA. Unfortunately I am completely outside of 30 days to be honored anything to fix the problem. My best advice is to throughly inspect upon arrival, I failed to take the bumper from around the rim of the tub until I was ready for install. The tub is beautiful and looks great in our new bathroom. It is comfortable to lay in for me and im 6' tall. The down side. The first tub arrived damaged. When it was delivered I found it placed on its side, all of the weight resting on the nose of the tub, consequently cracking it. Delivery guys fault... wayfair customer service was stellar. They gave us a 10% refund and sent out a replacement tub no questions asked. Secondly, we have black finishes in the bathroom and it came with Chrome. We assumed we would be able to replace those out with black however, my contractor informed us that the sizes are odd and he couldn't find replacements that would fit. He did however position the tub so thatthe overflow drain is not visible from the room. The unit fits nicely in the space provided. We have a small area to fit as the home is older and not setup for a larger 35" plus unit. The only thing it lacks is a bit more versatility for shelf and drawer placement. Height of bottles can be a problem storing. When renovating my bathroom I wanted all the fixtures to be matte black but the Kohler Alcove tub didn’t offer a drain and overflow in matte black so I decided to go with the oiled bronze and I’m so happy I did. It’s dark enough that you can’t tell it’s not matte black with everything else matte black. I haven’t used the tub yet, it was just finished today but I can’t wait!!! It looks fabulous! We are happy with our purchase. It fits perfectly in the space provided in our kitchen. We are not concerned with all the bells and whistles which comes with more higher priced appliances. It is only the two of us. Yet, one nevers knows if their grown children may get laid off and need a place to stay during the pandemic. Our only concern was that we had initially ordered it on November 11, 2020; of which we were able to preselect a scheduled delivery on November 27, 2020. Unfortunately, they'd rescheduled it on December 30, 2020. This is after we received a call the afternoon prior to the 27th of November in which were provided an actual window of time that it should be delivered. When it did not arrive as anticipated, we followed up with the contracted delivery service, and discovered that they had no record of it. As a result it was rescheduled. We were frustrated that no one followed up with us. They just changed the status of the delivery date on Wayfair. We had purchased a smaller 10.1 cu refrigerator until this one arrived. It is now in our garage for extra storage. Wayfair did attempt to reach GE to get answers; yet, got transferred to the wrong department. We both gave up. I would've given a rating of 5 stars on the product. Yet, the initial customer service received in November failed us with their excuse and didn't offer any type of resolution, such as a coveted part (ice maker) ; nor discount for our inconveinence.. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The refrigerator cooled down very quickly and runs without any detectable noise. Having read several reviews describing problems with reversing the door swing, I may have discovered the cause and simple solution to fix it. It seems the internal threads on the alternate door bracket may have been painted during product manufacture. I had difficulty getting the bracket bolts started until running a 1/4-20 thread chaser into each threaded hole. Bracket bolts started and seated easily after cleaning-up the threads.
