The taller choice allows for a nice space underneath for storage. The only thing I worry about is the plastic spacers that keep the crossbars for the platform in place. We are pretty happy with the platform bed. Very protected in the box. The instructions were only pics, which was easy to understand. This bed is very cute, but earns a four for the way it goes together. Not the sturdiest design on the center join where two frame pieces meet in the middle. It's adequate, but could be designed better. The design side of the footboard should face toward the room and not to the interior of the bed. The three holes were pre-drilled on the non-decorative side so if you flip it, there are only two holes and not a space for the peg that serves as a place-holder while joining the footboard to the rail so it is more difficult to assemble. Beautiful low profile platform bed with clearance for tall baseboards. Inset back legs allow bed to be pushed flush to the wall while clearing baseboards, which is a plus for stability of the cushy headboard. Assembly was straightforward, but a 2-person job. Happy that the platform isn’t as much of a shin hazard as I had worried since my foam mattress reaches nearly to the edge. A low height 10” mattress suits this frame best, 14” is too tall.. Martin. Disappointed with the color and quality of the bed frame. It should be listed as gray. Only the center supports are white. Going back and reading the descriptions, it does say it is gray, so my fault. That being said, I attached pictures of the the nice white supports and the gray sides. The color sometimes shows fingerprints, black color that didn’t get spread out, and chipped off areas. It’s called rustic, but for this price range I think it’s simply poorly done and unattractive.
