Trust me this stand is gorgeous but when I opened it I noticed some things right away. There was scuffs on some parts and also a crack in the middle board. Then the holes don’t properly line up so the top part tv stand doesn’t snap properly together to the bottom. Then also where the little circular screws are as soon as I in started screwing it in it cracked and won’t go in properly. I watched a YouTube video and followed the instructions to a T and read others advice. Idk it’s cute but there is a lot of cosmetic problems and issues with the build. Hailey. It's a very nice-looking piece, as others have said. Also, as others have said, it's not deep enough for any sizeable audio equipment. See photos. We chose to put our AV receiver (Onkyo, 17" depth) on the left because there's an outside wall on that side so no one will ever see the unit from the side. I chose to simply cut a rectangular hole slightly bigger than it and the (rarely used) TiVo that sits on top of it. Its rear feet don't touch the back of the cabinet with the door just barely missing the volume knob, so I put a strip of wood there. On the right, we chose to put the PS3 (a power pig that really needs ventilation) on top of a shelf with a sizeable cutout. Its power and HDMI cables are also too deep to fit without a hole to stick through. Rarely-used DVD/VCR fits fine depth-wise, just needed a little room for wires. Center speaker didn't quite fit vertically on a shelf because the lowest set of holes is about 13 mm too high. It fits depth and width-wise. Solid wood piece of furniture! Heavy and nicely built. Came in one big piece all we had to do is put on the legs. Packaged really well. A few minor scratches maybe while they packaged, but not very noticeable. Update after 7 months: The sliding doors are starting to warp and bend. We barely use this cabinet as is serves as storage mostly and to hold our TV, so its definitely not wear and tear. Our room is fairly dry normal temp. The sliding cabinet doors now can not slide to open without rubbing the other doors and it's quite hard to get them open. I am attaching new photos of the warped bent door. This tv stand looks great and is nice and sturdy. When shopping for a stand I needed something stylish and able to hold some weight. Most of the stands I was looking at were rated in the neighborhood of 70lbs, this was rated for roughly 250. I left the left shelf and back out when I assembled the unit to accommodate a very deep amplifier and I must say, the slatted front is wonderful as it allows air to travel through to keep the amp nice and cool (I don’t think it would work as well if the back piece is installed). The only surprise for me upon receiving the stand is that it is asymmetrical, the slatted door has a small stop on the left and does not sit flush with the edge when pushed all the way right. This did not really matter to me but if you like the door to be closed on the right side instead of the left you may want to keep looking. My tv on the stand is 50” diagonally for reference to size.. I looked at hundreds of TV stands in this "mid century" style at half a dozen different websites, but kept coming back to this one, and I'm glad I did. The lines are clean and the piece is not too large for our smaller (1100 sf) home. The off-white is the perfect color to blend with our (Sherwin Williams "Creamy") walls. The piece went together easily, but do take the time to lay eyes on every piece and understand which one is which before beginning. Some of them are pretty similar! Also note that when they say "glossy finish," they aren't kidding. This thing is shiny smooth, so be careful when you are assembling it -- protect if from the floor, or vacuum the carpet first. It's pretty durable -- no cat scratches yet (everyone sits on it), and it looks perfect for the wall where we have it. It's my first TV stand with long legs, and I wasn't prepared to be able to see the tangle of cords, but that's not the stand's fault -- just FYI if you like me had always had thick square entertainment stands. Great quality. Very true to the picture. The finish is smooth and it almost looks more like steel rather than wood but it's beautiful. It feels extremely sturdy. It comes mostly assembled. You only need to install the legs on the bottom which is quite simple and takes only a little time. The tools to install them are provided along with instructions. It has ample storage space and in the left center drawer has a hole for cable management. The piece is a good size and larger TVs will look great on it. My tv is 53”. The length and height of the piece are just right. I was worried the particle board would look too cheap, like the wood was too obviously fake, but it’s really pretty okay. It took about an hour for me and a friend to put it together, but if it had been only me, it probably would’ve taken forever. You’re going to want someone to help you. I really like this tv stand. It is a little lower than my other ones, but it still looks great. There was a small chip on the one side but it could be covered with a runner. I like that it has the opening in the back on all three panels for wires, and the shelves in the middle for any devices. There is also storage on the sides, which are very spacious. I have to say I instantly loved this thing. I left off a shelf to fit my receiver and also the door to give it a symmetrical feel for holding LP's It is a bit of a pain to bend down and adjust my vintage receiver (no remote) but I knew that going in and also wanted maximum clearance for my projector. Looks a bit cluttered here but in reality it has given me more space by holding my records and stereo in a compact and aesthetically pleasing way. The cheap chipboard does have a bit of a glue smell that after a week still seems present, but this unit was so inexpensive that I really am fine with that. great oh so middthentury look. Overall the quality and style is impressive and has already gotten compliments from everyone who has seen it. I hope their flattery is sincere because I find it perfect.
