These chairs are really cool! They are black metal with a dark wood seat. They are lower to the ground than standard chairs, so just make sure to measure to ensure it fits with your table. We paired it with a Wayfair table that was 30in tall and I would recommend it more for a 28 or 29 in tall table since it hits right at the bottom of my chest and I’m 5’6. Seriously solid chairs. There are 2 tricks to assembly 1. Don’t tighten the leg bolts until AFTER you have the bottom I base installed or else you won’t get the base on. If your chair is wobbly, loosen the leg bolts, stabilize the chair, then retighten. 2. To screw on the seat, find a table that is higher than the seat back, place the seat upside down on the table and the chair upside down on top. Love these chairs! Comfortable and easy to assemble! Only 2 parts (legs seat)! The legs are already assembled for you and have nice protector glides on the bottoms! Loved that! Boxes came slightly damaged but contents were in good condition. I ordered 8 (4sets). It’s for my 2nd home so I like that there’s easy to clean and look stylish. Funny, they remind me of grade school chairs with modern legs. I will say though, we are not tall people (all under 5’10) so not sure how these would be for a largertaller person. *Adding, the thing I liked least was the residual plastic remnants left of the screw holes after removing the protective cover on the legs. Tedious to remove, but it’s “out of sight” and doesn’t effect usability. But other than that it was quick ship, we’ll priced, looks good and comfortable. So I recommend.. June. These chairs exceeded my expectations. They are light tan, but more on the cream side which is exactly what I wanted. The quality is very nice. They weren’t terribly complicated to assemble, but tedious using an Allen wrench times 9 screws each chair, times my 8 chairs. Real wood frames.
