The ironing board is very study and has several height adjustments. The pad provided is thick and I don't need to buy a separate one.

This has worked out well for me. It can be adjusted to sit or stand while ironing, and I like the iron rest, which gives me more board room.

I was tired of my flimsy ironing board that I had to hold down with my foot. Love this new ironing board! It's shorter and wider than the old one, it has many positions for height, and a holder for the iron so you can use the whole board. Highly recommend! I have to say my husband took a small issue with the cost of it, but even he says it was well worth it once it arrived. Also shipping on Wayfair was less expensive overall. I checked many sites, this was the best deal for my money.

This was recommended on Wirecutter through the NYTimes and it works well. I like that I can put the iron down in its own place on the ironing board. It should last forever.

I'm happy with my new Brabantia ironing board. And I guess I'm at the point in my life when I get excited about, and write reviews about, ironing boards. :) I chose this one based on NYT Wirecutter's review, and so far it has lived up to my expectations -- it is indeed stable, as described, it's sturdy, and it's a good height. Most importantly, I can iron more clothes faster, easier, and better with it. My gripe, aside from the cost, is that the packaging was damaged upon arrival, so I was worried that the item might also be, but no signs of damage so far. Ironing boards, like everything else, were surprisingly expensive in my local retail stores, so rather than spend my meager pay on another flimsy piece of junk, I decided to invest in a higher quality, (hopefully) longer-lasting item.
