Have been using this composter for several weeks now and there has been zero smell or issue with insects. It's very spacious too, it will take me the rest of the summer to fill it probably. Very pleased with this composter. It took about 1hr to put together. The instructions were clear and concise. The screws and such were clearly labeled and in separate bags. The cranking and locking mechanism seem to work well. After I assembled it I entirely filled one side and was able to crank and lock without issue. Recieved super fast. This was easy to put together. Also, it came with general use instructions. It has 2 sides, barrier in middle. We are new to composting, so I havent started anything in it yet. A grandmother already knew it, organic waste from the kitchen can be very well used as compost. It was out of stock for months and is seriously expensive so I knocked it down a star. At first, when I ordered it they said I wouldn't get it for several more months (we're looking at close to a year wait at this point) but it showed up just a week after my order went through. The composter itself looks sturdy though it's too new to tell for long-term durability. It was easy to put together. I had my heart set on THIS composter, and sadly couldn't find it anywhere else, trust me I looked. I planned to turn it into R2D2. Which I did. The body took the spray paint well. I am so excited to add this composter to my garden. It is pretty sturdy and the perfect size for my backyard garden set up.
