Pluses: It does work. The cooling function is a great feature. It's small and compact and easy to store. Minuses: It's small and compact, so you can only roast small batches at a time. The fan is very loud, and makes it pretty much impossible to hear the crack, so, you're working on color and time and temp only. Even under an exhaust fan you might want to disconnect your smoke detectors before using.
