Polished Copper

I had been eying a metallic backslash but was concerned that the kitchen would be too dark. I purchased the white vinyl tile to tie in with the white sink and I am so glad that I did. Its beautiful! Although I used liquid nails, I purchased the kit with edging so that if the tile sags down the road, the edging will keep it in place. Okay, we installed the backsplash and it looks fantastic. I believe it takes two people to hold it; so in my opinion it is not a one person task. First, you need a hairdryer to warm up the protective plastic that is to be peeled off. It may be best to hire a handy person or pro install; get someone with patience and nimble fingers to handle the small hardware parts. Now that it is in place, I do love it. Hope this helps.. Julia. This was exactly as described. Measurements were great, metal is strong, shelf is useful as are the utensil hooks under the shelf. We chose not to drill into the tile to adhere. We used adhesive to secure to the tile backsplash and the top edge slid under the stainless range hood already installed. Seemless, clean, great price and gives a very polished finished look. Well my review is mixed. I love the look and I couldn’t find tin backsplash from anywhere else. Everything was faux tin so basically vinyl. These are not aluminum. Some sort of special galvanized so I hope they do not rust. Our problem came when we put a very mild masking tape on the tin to mark our cutting area. As you can see from the picture the paint came off! We were surprised that this would happen considering the cost. Very disappointed. Now I worry how much paint will come off when I clean it. Awesome tiles! The tiles arrived without any damage. The tiles itself are really lightweight. Love the aluminum tiles finish, greys-charcoal with the brass point. The tiles really look great and love the way reflects the light. I am thinking to have the tiles place around the fireplace. The have a mesh back. The pointy part of the tiles aren’t perfectly aligned sometimes but I think gives the tile more character and it seem that will be easy to make it straight as you placing it onto the wall. The finished product is beautiful but buyer beware…this product is extremely labor intensive. The metal tiles are ceramic with a metal overlay, which causes a problem with cutting. There is only a small circle of glue holding them together and the metal pops off upon cutting and needs to be glued back on. This happened roughly 50 times during our project.. Shana.
